As a non-profit arts organization, the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival relies on the loyalty, passion and financial contributions of its donors to continue to present four days of the best international independent ocean-inspired films. We simply couldn’t make it happen without your support.
Your contributions help underwrite the costs of producing the annual festival, which showcased more than 50 ocean-related films in 2011 — many of which will not be seen again in the Bay Area. Now in its ninth year, the festival is bigger and better – with hundreds of films slated to be screened, a special discount Family Program on Saturday and Sunday mornings, special workshops, panel discussions and our ever popular “Shark” series. Every dollar donated goes towards helping us bring both the most exciting marine films and filmmakers to San Francisco, and to expand our outreach to make the festival available to even more people.
Your donations will also help us to expand our popular Education Program. The 2011 festival presented three full days of dedicated youth programs. Our current plans are to to expand this program even further, enabling us to introduce even more Bay Area youth to the wonders and beauty of the ocean.
